Geopathic Stress is the term used to describe harmful earth energies. Healthy Earth energies vibrate at a frequency, which is identical to the range of human alpha brain waves. However, these energies can become distorted by a number of factors, including underground streams, mineral deposits, geological faults and man made structures.

For anyone sleeping or working in these energies for any length of time, the distortions can lead to Geopathic Stress, resulting in a weakening of the immune system; this in turn leads to the inability of the body to fight disease, and exhaustion and chronic illnesses are likely to follow.

Dowsing can both detect and help to neutralise the harmful effects of Geopathic Stress. By locating their harmful earth energies in houses and workplaces, the dowser can then employ a number of methods to neutralise their effect. Earth acupuncture, crystals and electromagnetic devices can be used depending on the severity of the distortions and the terrain.
