New Mercury Free Energy Lights
New technology has made it possible to
produce lighting that is more energy
efficient and mercury free. The existing
energy bulbs that are now common household
purchases revolutionized the lighting industry.
They saved a great deal of electricity
compared to standard bulbs but their down
side is that they contain mercury - which is
very difficult to clean up if the bulb breaks.
This new bulb is claimed to be both mercury
free, making the environmentalists very
happy, and also far more energy efficient.
The technology at the heart of the new bulb
is an advanced nanofibre structure that
offers excellent lighting management.

Med Students Welcome Alternative
Therapies
Medical students have given a 75% approval
to integrating more complementary and
alternative medicine into conventional
medicine. The survey was the largest
undertaking of its kind with medical students
across the country being surveyed by
researchers from UCLA and UC San Diego. The
result showed that most medical students felt
that conventional Western medicine would
benefit by integrating more CAM therapies and
ideas.

India inmates practise yoga to reduce
sentences
Prisoners in the Indian state of Madhya
Pradesh are being freed early if they
complete yoga courses.
For every three months spent practising
posture, balance and breathing the inmates
can cut their jail time by 15 days.
The authorities say the lessons help to
improve the prisoners' self-control and
reduce aggression.
Some 4,000 inmates across the state are
benefiting from the scheme, and many go on to
become yoga instructors.
The state's inspector general of prisons,
Sanjay Mane, said: "Yoga is good for
maintaining fitness, calming the behaviour,
controlling anger and reducing stress.

| A Laugh a Minute |
 |
|
By Nikki Wyatt
Something that always strikes me about
spiritual leaders such as the Dalai Lama and
Buddha is that they're so often pictured
laughing. When we say 'make light of it'
that's quite a literal comment. Our gravity
and worry can sometimes keep a situation
stuck, when being able to laugh about it will
put it back in its rightful perspective,
allowing it to flow and change.
By laughing at the darkness we bring in the
light. Laughter makes our body vibrate in a
wonderfully healing way and statistically a
smile increases our attractiveness by up to 8
times as much, so we really are working with
the Law of Attraction when we're happy!
I sometimes put this French video on without
watching it, just to have the soundtrack in
the background - laughter really is
infectious. You'll have to wait a bit before
it begins but it's worth it to see how even
the most unremarkable face looks beautiful
with a smile.

| How are we doing? |
 |
|
We'd love your feedback!
Have you loved one of our classes? Or perhaps
found
it was not quite what you wanted?
Have you been delighted by one of our
treatments?
Or felt that our service could in some
way have been improved?
What do you think of this newsletter?
Now you can let us know what
you really think of us - anonymously!
We've signed up with two review sites, and
we'd love your opinion on which one is
better. The readers' favourite will
eventually have a regular slot in this
newsletter and its own space on our website
so that any reader can add a comment at any
time.
We're really proud of our team of
therapists and receptionists and of course we
hope that you love us too and will add some
kind words. However, we will have no editorial
control and all your comments will be visible
to everyone (though you are not required to
identify your real name).
So we'd be grateful if you'd spend
a minute or two to review
the service you received at Equilibrium
either here
(where for each review Wahanda will donate £1
to charity:water to help people gain access
to clean water
or here.
And if you have liked, or benefited from,
our therapies or courses, please pass on
details to your friends & colleagues so that
they can
enjoy them too. There's a link at the bottom
of this this page
which makes it easy to forward the newsletter
to up to 5 friends.
Thank you!
