Racing Car Runs on Chocolate
A British research team have developed the
world's first fully sustainable racing car
that runs on chocolate! It is actually a
biofuel made principally from chocolate on
which the car runs. And there is a whole lot more
to the car that makes it a marvellous
contribution to sustainability.
The car body is made out of recycled
carbon fibre, flax and recycled resin, with
the steering wheel being made out of carrot
pulp. Plant oils provide lubrication for the
moving parts in the car.
Despite being the most environmentally
friendly car on the Formula 3 circuit, it's
not slow. It can reach to 135mph and do 0-60
in just 2.5 seconds, with a little help from
the turbo charger.

Tai Chi Rectifies Balance Disorders
Tai Chi is practiced throughout the world,
originally coming from China and is used as a
way of harmonising and massaging the body and
body organs and as such is often practiced by
people with a whole variety of health conditions.
A new paper has shown how Tai Chi effectively
treats people for balance disorders. Balance
disorders also known as vesibular disorders,
although not life threatening, leave people
with a restricting handicap in life so any
form of treatment, especially one that
involves no medication, is highly appreciated.
The authors also noted that people who
suffered dizzy spells also benefited from the
Tai Chi.

Jarvis Cocker to play for Yoga classes
Jarvis Cocker is set to play to yoga and
aerobics classes as part of a three-day art
"happening" this month (November 9-11).
Cocker, who had earlier this year played to
Yoga and Pilates classes in France, will be
doing something similar in London during
November.
The former Pulp frontman will also jam with
members of the public who turn up with
instruments and also improvise around
suggestions from visitors.

| Last chance to win a £50 Photography Voucher |
 |
|
Last month we offered readers a chance to
win a £50 Photography Voucher with Peter
Arciero in our October quiz. The lucky winner
was Annie Howes (congratulations Annie!).
The competition was so popular that we're
running it again this month (with a different
question, naturally!).
Peter will also make a £10 donation to the
Rockinghorse Children's
Charity on the winner's behalf.
Peter Arciero is a creative photographer with
a unique style and an artistic and
compassionate approach to his work. Portraits
can be taken at a favourite location allowing
you to have a very personal feel to your
images. A cosy studio is also available for
the very young.
Rockinghorse Children's Charity is an
independent charity dedicated to making life
better for children in hospital.
Rockinghorse receives no government funding
and relies entirely on the generosity of the
community to make possible its valuable work.
A hospital stay can be a daunting prospect
for anyone, but Rockinghorse believes that no
child should be afraid to go into hospital.
For over 40 years Rockinghorse has been
making children's health facilities in Sussex
more comfortable, welcoming and a lot less
frightening.
They do this by:
- Providing children's wards with TVs and
games
- Providing cutting edge equipment that
hospitals cannot afford, which reduce surgery
time and allow for less invasive methods
- Redecorating children's facilities to
make them more welcoming and homely
environments
To be in with a chance of winning your
free £50
Gift Voucher, simply correctly answer the
question below -
