What is
Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a health profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment
and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the
effect of these disorders on general health.
How does
Chiropractic work?
A Chiropractor assesses by feeling (palpation) and corrects by gentle manipulation
any loss of function, mobility or alignment to the area concerned.
What can Chiropractic treat?
Low back pain, sciatica, hip pain, neck and arm pain, sport and work related
injuries.
What happens during a treatment?
After the examination
the Chiropractor will ask you to lie down on a couch. The Chiropractor uses
hands-on methods to gently work on the affected area or related areas in order
to improve the function of the muscles and joints.
What happens
after the treatment?
The Chiropractor will provide advice about exercise, rest and sometimes diet
if it is felt that these will assist your response to treatment.
