Yoga Mats

Yoga 'Sticky Mat' Care instructions

All types of new yoga mats take time to ‘wear in’. The more you use your mat, the more non-slip it becomes. The best way to wear in your mat is to do lots of yoga practice!

You can also place the mat somewhere you will walk over it, in bare feet.

Your mat is machine washable: use a little mild detergent and a cool wash cycle (eg 30C). Don’t use the spin cycle. Allow lots of time to air dry and avoid using a tumble drier or radiator and do not fold or use your mat until it is completely dry.

You can roll your mat up with a towel and squeeze excess water out to speed up the drying process. You can also use a damp cloth to wipe your mat clean instead of machine washing it.

Yoga mats are available from Equilibrium, 16 Station St, Lewes during normal office hours at just £18.95 each.

If you are enrolled on an Equilibrium Yoga course, then you also receive £2.00 discount, making these excellent mats even better value!

What should I wear?

You need to feel comfortable. Loose cotton clothing is best, and you'll need to be warm enough in winter, cool enough in summer. Layers that you can add or remove are ideal. Please bring a blanket for the relaxation period at the end of your class.
